Tucson

Jennifer and I had an enjoyable time in Tucson, which has lots to offer. But the city itself did not seem to have a lot of visual history and character. There are some small pockets where a sense of history was still palpable – around the Presidio and south of Cushing Street – but otherwise did not inspire my photography. I did really enjoy the DeGrazia Gallery in the Sun, despite questions about indigenous appropriation and DeGrazia’s uncritical take on Tohono O╩╝odham assimilation. For cyclists like us, Tucson is very bicycle friendly, and the Loop Trail was a delight.
