Alberta Badlands II

Jennifer and I spent the last few days in Alberta’s Dinosaur Provincial Park in the Red Deer River Valley. And what a stay! The badlands there are the equal of any badland areas I have ever come across in my travels in the US southwest – including Utah’s Capitol Reef, Arizona’s Painted Desert, California’s Mecca Hills and Zabriskie Point, and New Mexico’s Bisti Wilderness. I might add that besides its unique beauty, this park is apparently the world’s greatest source of Cretaceous dinosaur fossils.
